We spent £1500 on this experience, we would not recommend this place at all. We decided to look online and came across Countrywide Park Homes. Their website stated that they offered both residential park homes and luxury lodges, and that the residential ones were available with a part exchange option. They all looked really lovely so we arranged to go up to Dales View and have a look.

Not even worth a one star

If you're plannng on holidaying in one of these and booking via Hoseasons, be aware that many lodge owners who are renting their lodge to you through the park are being desperately exploited by the park. The money you pay to holiday there will line the pockets of Mr Barney and his wife. Think very carefully before parting any money to this "company". I spent my life savings buying a brand new lodge on a residential park.

Countrywide Homes refuse to speak to us over the phone & will only correspond via email, and only do this when I chase. Its been over a week since we reported the fault and they have yet to complete their 'investigation'. The park staff expect the maintenance person were rude & arrogant & the senior member of the company that we are currently dealing with has a condescending tone.

They worked with us to lock in the rate that we had agreed to and we would give their customer service a top grade for their work. We were co/signing for a family member and this company not only kept the buyer informed but us as well. We would really recommend this company to first time buyers. We had a Countrywide mortgage for many years and were extremely happy with them.

Their business practices were horrible. They lost paperwork, never let you speak with the same person to get anything done, and practiced what I believed to me illegal lending practices. You could never get the same answer from anyone. I was never so glad as to get away from this company. My contract with them was reviewed by a real estate attorney and found to have several clauses that were NOT legal.

Decor was rude and unprofessional, service from Angie was just plain rude, and nothing was ever resolved for us. Never ever dare to use / recommend this company and encourage those you know or heard of to create a group case to restrict this companies business activities. Customer Service Getting through to them was difficult. Never could get a single answer to a question. I would request a call back to get questions answered and wait for several days. Even hen there was no guarantee that your question or situation was going to be handled. Types/Options I was not surprised they were bought out, or that the former CEO was charged with crimes. Once all the costs & wear & tear have been taken into account most owners have actually lost money by renting & hence most have now withdrawn from Countrywide's rental scheme.

Should you wish to purchase a lodge or caravan do a lot of research & investigate the site owner thoroughly. In my opinion you are better off buying bricks & mortar where you remain in control of your asset & how you choose to use it. The holiday lodge/caravan industry is unregulated therefor there is little to no consumer protection, which seems to be exploited by this company. Our life has changed, we have retired, have money in the bank and on an peaceful park with some great neighbours. It's president Claudio is arrogant and has no regards for the rule of law. The builder attempted to defraud every homeowner in Credit Manor Heights the interlocking walkway and kitchen faucet with spray.
